Make a Difference in Our Community

Make a Difference across the street, in your own community: volunteer time at CROSS, connect with “neighbors” at Mobile Hope-Dayton, help Great River Family Promise serve families without a home, get together with friends to pack meals for hungry kids, meet the needs of those in your small group.

Mobile Hope Dayton
Dayton Mobile Home Park Outreach

In partnership with Mobile Hope Dayton, we have the opportunity to make a difference locally at the Dayton mobile home park in the following ways:

  • Serve at the annual fall event called “Party in the Park”. NorthRidge Fellowship and Nueva Vida Church host this event each fall that offers fellowship with the local community to enjoy field games, bouncy jump, pinata, face painting, crazy hair and lunch together.
  • Serve weekly with homework help, adult language classes and CROSS food distribution. Weekly opportunities to serve with Mobile Hope Dayton in the mobile mini are:
    • Homework Help – Tuesday & Thursday 4:00-6:00
    • Adult Language Classes – Wednesday 6:30-8:00
    • CROSS Food Distrubition – Thursday 3:45-5:00

Great River Family Promise – Serving Homeless Families

Great River Family Promise is an affiliate of the national, non-profit organization, Family Promise. It is a network of thirteen northwest suburban churches, and hundreds of volunteers. Each church provides overnight shelter, meals, and hospitality for up to four families experiencing homelessness for one week every four months on a rotating basis. NRF families, individuals, and small groups have an opportunity to Make a Difference by hosting families in our building various times throughout the year.
