Jesus was clear. The good news was for the whole world. Can we really do something that reaches that far? Yes, we can. We can effectively partner with other Christ-followers to do live out the mission of Christ. One of the slogans of our movement of churches is, “We are better together.” This week we will talk about the world wide ministry we are doing as a church and some of the partners with whom we do it.
Jesus meant for us to make a difference. Salt and light change their environments. What does it take to do that? It starts with a mindset and follows a method. Jesus models both. This week we will meditate on the example of Jesus and learn how to share the good news and make a difference.
Relationships matter. Jesus has left us no option on this one. It is what makes us a real church. Doctrine is important, foundational even, but it means nothing with out the practical, daily interactions of love between Christ-followers. This week we will talk about how we navigate this non-negotiable as people in various stages of the process of becoming like Christ.
“Love each other” can take many forms. It almost goes with out saying that passing on faith in Christ and the wisdom of godly experience to the generation following us is one of the most important. In this sermon we will talk directly about how we are doing this as a community of Christ-followers.
