Walking With God: The 10 Commandments as Love

What comes to mind when someone says,  "The 10 Commandments"?  A list of rules? Something to put on the wall of a courtroom? How about love? The 10 Commandments were first given in the context of God's love for the Jews as His "treasured possession." They are a guide for loving Him back. As such they tell us what matters to Him and how to be in step with Him. For Christ-followers they fulfill a similar function. Once we have experienced God's love, acceptance and forgiveness in Jesus, they show us how to love Him and love with Him.

August 17 - Trustworthy; Ninth Commandment: You Shall Not Give False Testimony Against Your Neighbor

August 24 - The Heart of the Matter; Tenth Commandment: You Shall Not Covet
