Dawn Marie Sloan Obituary

Dawn Marie Sloan, age 65, of Minneapolis, was called home by our loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 13, 2025. Dawn fought a courageous battle for over 28 years following a terrible accident that left her paralyzed in 1997. Dawn was at peace in her last year and looked forward to being with her Buddy and those who have gone before her.

Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Sloan, Mother, Marlys Chester, Mother-in-law, Virginia, Brother-in-law, Terry Waldenmaier and grandparents.

Dawn is survived by her daughters Nicole (husband Seth) Erickson and Shelby (husband Chris) Orler, her grandchildren Davin, Leanna, Kyler, and Adelyn Erickson, Hannah, Sloan, and Allara Orler, her father, Dennis Chester and sisters Linda Waldenmaier, and Julie (husband David) Coop, niece Taylor Waldenmaier and nephew Davis (wife Chanda) Waldenmaier and their daughter Emilia.

Dawn loved her children, grandchildren and family, but she also had a strong affection for her four-legged fur babies. We are sure all her precious pups were waiting for her to run and play with them as only now she can do.

We will forever miss our Mom, Grandma, Daughter and Sister. We will miss her generous heart and wonderful sense of humor. We take comfort knowing she is pain free and in the arms of our loving Lord and Savior.
